Legacy Detailing Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 4, 2026 · Last Updated: September 4, 2026 · Version 2026-09-04.v2

Path to Legacy LLC d/b/a Legacy Detailing (“Legacy Detailing,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you access or use the Legacy Detailing website, applications, software, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. Where consent is required by applicable law, we will request that consent before collecting or processing the applicable information.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on the features you use, we may collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the Services, and information received from authorized third-party services. This may include:

  • Name, email address, telephone number, business name, and account information.
  • Customer and vehicle information entered into the platform, including photographs and service history.
  • Employee, contractor, and sales-representative information used for workforce, scheduling, payroll, timekeeping, commission, performance, or business-management features.
  • Appointment, estimate, invoice, payment, and transaction information.
  • Business income, expenses, inventory, chemical, mileage, and profitability information.
  • Personal and household financial information you or an authorized household partner enter, including income sources, pay amounts and schedules, bills, debts, budgets, tax set-aside amounts, and cash-flow data.
  • Household partner information: if an account owner creates a household partner login, we collect the partner's name, email address, phone number, income, and financial entries provided by the owner or the partner.
  • Financial-account information obtained through authorized financial-data providers such as Plaid.
  • Photographs and reference images you upload, including images of yourself used to generate AI avatar video content.
  • Learning records from the Legacy Academy, such as course enrollment, progress, quiz results, and certificates.
  • Service addresses, routes, and related location information used for scheduling, dispatch, and mapping features.
  • Device, browser, IP address, security, authentication, and application-usage information.
  • Communications, support requests, and other information you voluntarily provide.

We only seek to collect information reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Services.

2. Household Sharing and Sub-Account Visibility

Certain features are shared by design. If you use household features, the account owner and the household partner can each see household financial information — including bills, debts, income entries, budgets, tax-vault activity, forecasts, and alerts — regardless of which of them entered it.

Similarly, business account owners may see information entered by their authorized sub-accounts (employees, contractors, sales representatives, accountants), and sub-accounts may see business information the owner has granted them access to.

If you do not want this shared visibility, do not enable the applicable feature or ask the account owner to remove your access.

3. Financial Account Connections and Plaid

Legacy Detailing uses Plaid to enable users to connect eligible financial accounts to certain features of the Services.

When you choose to connect a financial account using Plaid, Plaid may collect information directly from you and your financial institution. Depending on the Plaid products used and the permissions you authorize, this can include account information, balances, transaction history, account and routing information, account-owner information, credit or loan information, and other financial information.

Plaid's collection, use, disclosure, retention, and protection of information it processes is governed by the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.

Connecting a financial account is voluntary. Where applicable, you may choose not to connect an account and may disconnect a previously connected account.

4. Payments

Payment card and payout information is processed by third-party payment processors such as Stripe. Legacy Detailing does not store full payment card numbers. Payment processors handle payment information under their own privacy policies and security standards.

5. Text Messages and Communications

When you provide a mobile number and enable text-based features (for example booking reminders, household fail-safe alerts, or tax-vault payday reminders), we and our SMS delivery providers (such as Twilio) process the phone number and message content necessary to deliver those messages.

Recipients may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP (where supported) or adjusting notification settings. Message and data rates may apply. Delivery logs may be retained for security, compliance, and troubleshooting purposes.

If an account owner provides a household partner's phone number, the owner is responsible for having that person's consent to receive messages.

6. AI Features and Uploaded Likeness

Certain features use artificial intelligence, including AI-generated lessons, quizzes, images, and video, and AI avatar features that generate video content from a reference photograph you upload.

To provide these features, prompts, uploaded reference images, and related content may be transmitted to third-party AI model providers for processing, and generated media may be stored so you can access it.

Reference photographs used for avatar features are used to generate the content you request. We do not sell uploaded photographs, and we do not use your likeness to generate content you did not request.

Do not upload the likeness of another person without their express consent.

7. Location and Mapping Information

Scheduling, dispatch, routing, and weather-aware features may process service addresses and related location information through third-party mapping and weather providers (such as TomTom) to calculate routes, travel times, and weather-based scheduling recommendations.

8. How We Use Information

We may use information to operate and provide the Services; authenticate users and secure accounts; connect financial accounts when requested; display transactions and financial information; provide budgeting, bookkeeping, forecasting, household, payroll, and business-management functionality; generate estimates, reminders, and alerts you enable; process appointments, invoices, payments, and business records; deliver Academy content and certificates; provide AI features you request; maintain customer and workforce records; provide analytics and reporting; detect fraud, abuse, and security threats; troubleshoot and improve the Services; communicate service-related information; comply with legal obligations; and enforce our agreements.

We will not use financial information obtained through Plaid for purposes inconsistent with the permissions provided by the user or applicable agreements with Plaid.

9. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information to service providers and processors that help us operate the Services, including providers of cloud hosting and file storage, payment processing (e.g., Stripe), financial connectivity (e.g., Plaid), SMS and email delivery (e.g., Twilio and email providers), mapping and weather data (e.g., TomTom), artificial-intelligence processing, analytics, security, and other infrastructure.

We may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, court order, or governmental request; when reasonably necessary to protect users, Legacy Detailing, or others; in connection with fraud or security investigations; or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of business assets, subject to applicable law.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not sell users' financial account credentials.

10. Financial Credentials

When Plaid Link is used to connect an account, financial institution credentials entered within Plaid's connection experience are handled according to Plaid's systems and policies.

Legacy Detailing does not request that users provide online-banking passwords directly to Legacy Detailing outside an authorized financial-account connection process.

11. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure.

No electronic storage or transmission system can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials — including credentials created for sub-accounts and household partners — and for notifying us if they believe an account has been compromised.

12. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain legitimate business records, comply with legal and regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce agreements.

Retention periods may differ depending on the type of information and the purpose for which it was collected.

Removing a household partner login or sub-account revokes access but does not automatically delete household or business records previously entered, which may be retained for the account owner's legitimate business purposes.

Where information is processed independently by a third-party provider such as Plaid, that provider's retention and deletion practices may also apply.

13. Disconnecting Financial Accounts

Users may request that a financial account be disconnected from Legacy Detailing.

Disconnecting an account prevents future access through that connection where technically applicable, but information previously received may be retained when reasonably necessary for legitimate business purposes or where retention is required by law.

Plaid also provides privacy controls through its own services, including Plaid Portal, as described in Plaid's End User Privacy Policy.

14. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Legacy Detailing and its service providers may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to maintain sessions, remember preferences, provide security, understand application usage, and improve the Services.

Where required by law, we will obtain appropriate consent before using non-essential tracking technologies.

15. Privacy Rights

Depending on where you reside, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including rights to request access, correction, or deletion of certain information; obtain information regarding certain disclosures; withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; or exercise other rights provided by applicable law.

Requests concerning information contained in a business account's records (for example, a detailing customer's record inside a business's CRM) may need to be directed to that business, which controls those records.

Certain information may be exempt from a request when retention or processing is required or permitted by law. We will not unlawfully discriminate against users for exercising applicable privacy rights.

16. Children's Privacy

Legacy Detailing's Services are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Services.

Certain third-party services may impose higher minimum-age requirements. Plaid, for example, states that its services are not directed to individuals under 18.

17. Third-Party Services

The Services may integrate with third-party platforms and service providers. Those companies may process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

Legacy Detailing's Privacy Policy does not replace the privacy policies of independent third parties.

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes to our Services, integrations, legal requirements, or privacy practices.

When appropriate, we will update the “Last Updated” date and provide additional notice of material changes. Where applicable law requires consent to a material change, we will obtain that consent.
